Project partnership with outforspace GmbH

For this project, we investigated the material properties of the rattan veneer karuun 3D. Due to the long fibers of the rattan plant very sharp bends and three-dimensional deformations of the material are possible.

We developed a set of connectors out of rolled up veneer.

For one of those, we found applications in two clothes racks. The connector clamps in the rail without the need for additional screws and glue.
